STEP 1: Make the Decision to Become a Home Owner

Some people say they want to buy their own home, but sometimes we discover they have set so many preconditions that they have no chance of doing it.  In effect, they have decided to stay renting, rather than buy.  The fact is that for most people some sort of a sacrifice has to be made, such as being flexible about the style of house and the area in which you are prepared to live. 

If you are currently renting in a good suburb and living in a nice home, but your economic circumstances prevent you from maintaining the same standard when you buy, then a change of thinking is required.  When someone has truly made the decision to buy, they will make the changes necessary to ensure they reach their goal.  So we say ‘make the decision’.  Once you have done that, you will do what it takes to make things happen.  And in our experience, very often things do happen quite quickly - once the decision has been made.


STEP 2: Talk To Your Home Buy Express Consultant

You need to connect with a 'live' person - someone who is focused on helping you reach your goal.  That is where we can make a significant difference.  We know exactly what it takes to get you into your own home.  And if there are obstacles and problems to be overcome, we will work with you to overcome them.  We can help you:

3. Overcome Obstacles. Most people who come to us have a problem. Our job is to help you work with the problem, so it no longer prevents you from buying your own home.

4. Establish a Cash Management System (a budget that works). Most people who come to us have a problem. Unfortunately, one of the root causes of most of these problems is poor or non-existent money skills.  Most budgets don't work, because they do not have a way to control the day to day spending.  Almost everyone has a 'hole in their spending bucket'. Our Money Skills system can help you find the missing dollars, which in turn can be directed towards buying your home. We can help you make a profound difference.

 

STEP 3: Have Your Home Buy Application Approved

Once we have helped you do some financial housekeeping, we will then help you complete your home buy application.  We like the application to be completed and submitted for approval early on in the process, so we can determine which home purchase plan will be best for your circumstances.

 

STEP 4: Decide on the Type (and Location) of House You Want

The first step should be to talk to agents. This will give you an accurate idea of what current home prices are.  Also, go to open inspections and auctions.  After a week or two of doing this you will be well versed on the market, and where you realistically should be buying.

 

STEP 5: Work With Your HOME BUY Consultant to Find the Right Home

Your consultant can give you tips on how to work with estate agents - what questions to ask, how to find motivated sellers etc. Then, after the house has been bought, we will still be available for any finance related requirement you have.
